PHILADELPHIA WINDOW FILM FAQ's
Questions? We've got Answers
Answers to common questions about window film installation, performance and service in the Philadelphia area.
How much does commercial and residential window film installation cost in Philadelphia? Most commercial and residential projects run between $8 and $18 per square foot installed, depending on the film type, glass size, and access complexity. A typical office suite runs $2,000–$15,000; a full building is scoped by the job. We quote every project individually — there's no guessing on our end and no surprises on yours. Request a free estimate and we'll give you a number, not a range.
How long does window film last? Quality architectural film installed correctly lasts 15–25 years. Every product we install carries a manufacturer warranty from Madico or Avery Dennison — the two brands we trust enough to put our name behind. Cheap film installed by the wrong crew fails in 3–5 years. We've been doing this for 15+ years; we're here for the warranty calls.
Will window film make my office too dark? Not with the right film. Modern solar and energy films are engineered to cut heat and glare while preserving natural light — most clients notice the glare is gone before they notice any change in brightness. We'll show you samples specific to your glass and your sun exposure before anything goes on the windows.
What's the difference between security film and window tint? Standard tint controls heat and light. Security film is a structural layer — it holds broken glass in place during a forced-entry attempt, an explosion, or a severe storm. Our flagship product, Madico Safety Shield, is the only window film to pass UL 972 Forced Entry Testing. It also requires the right door attachment system to perform as rated; most installers skip that step. We don't.
What areas around Philadelphia do we serve? We cover Central and South New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Wilmington and Newark Delaware, greater Baltimore, and Washington DC — roughly a 3-hour radius of our Philadelphia shop. We also travel nationally as a subcontract installation crew for window film dealers who win large multi-location contracts and complex installations. If you're not sure whether we reach you, ask — we probably do.
